I shuffle around my bed not laughing and not crying and not feeling just to feel with you. You say these things about love but I don't know if it's true. Because while I sit and struggle through this empty nothingness you walk and forget about me in your life and you come back every night. I don't hate you and I know you don't hate me and I know you feel about me too. But each and every word you say cuts into me for I know I'm not with you.

I repeat these lines over and over trying to get you into my sight and make you see me back. You can as if I don't know you and I know it's true. Because that night when you left me to sit alone in my sobs and try and act brave. But I don't blame you.

I walk through this earth as a weak coward whose one true fear isn't anything, but love. Putting on a false persona as i walk the empty streets that don't seem empty to anyone but me. And each night I sleep and get lost in my dreams only to wake. To know that this is the real me. I forget what I think and I think about what I've forgot and I know what you mean when you say that this can't be.

I don't say goodbye but I must say farewell, for this is not a loss but only you I must sell. And as I stare blankly back into my face I splash it with water and see the words seep from this place. The walls, they fall apart and I realize that I've gotten so cold sitting alone in my own space. But I'll just go to sleep and forget about myself, for when I wake up I hope to be someone else.
